About Coach Sadiq Jiwa

I’m Sadiq Jiwa, the founder of Jiwa Golf Performance and a former tour professional with over 15 years of competitive experience at the junior, amateur, and professional levels. My journey in the game includes competing on the PGA Tour Canada and representing Canada internationally, experiences that shaped not only how I play golf, but how I teach it.

I combine tour-level playing experience with a deep understanding of golf’s core fundamentals to help golfers of all abilities improve their technique and lower their scores. I work with each player as an individual, recognizing that every golfer has different goals, learning styles, and physical considerations.

I believe great golf isn’t built on perfection. It’s built on consistency, reliability, and trust in your game. At Jiwa Golf Performance, the focus is on developing practical skills that hold up on the course—through sound mechanics, smart strategy, and a strong mindset.

My goal is simple: to help golfers build a game they can rely on, play with confidence, and enjoy long-term improvement.

Sadiq’s Golf Journey

I turned professional in 2021 while making my debut on the PGA Tour Canada. My playing career also includes competing in various professional mini tour events, PGA Tour qualifiers, and state open championships. Those years of tournament golf shaped my understanding of what it truly takes to perform consistently under pressure.

After stepping away from competitive golf for medical reasons, I redirected my focus toward coaching, bringing more than 15 years of tour-level experience into my teaching. Today, I work with golfers both in the local community and abroad who want direct access to a former professional golfer committed to improving technique, building confidence, and elevating on-course performance.

I was recruited to play golf at Kenyon College from 2014-2018. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in economics, finished as a two-time Academic All-American Scholar, and earned multiple top-5 and top-10 finishes.

High School Golf

My competitive golf foundation began at St. George’s Senior School, where I graduated Honors with Distinction in 2014. As captain of the Varsity Golf Team, I helped lead the program to its first BC AAA High School Golf Provincial Championship in 2013. In recognition of my commitment to the program, St. George’s inaugurated the Sadiq Jiwa Cup upon my graduation— an award presented annually to a student-athlete who demonstrates dedication, determination, and leadership within the golf team. Those values continue to shape my approach as a golf instructor and mentor today.
